Reconfirm the new order.
Send the current revision, quantity, required date and destination. Reference the previous order and clearly identify changes.
Ask for current price and lead time. A forecast helps planning; reserved capacity or stock requires a separate agreement.
Control changes before production.
Agree how drawing revisions, material alternatives and treatment changes are approved and recorded.
If manufacturing arrangements change, review whether samples or first-article evidence are needed before proceeding.
